Chapter 59.1

The vessel arrives quickly enough at the frontline, where the Marshal has been informed earlier, and is now waiting for it.

He thought he was dreaming when he received his briefing – grade S male Soon to awaken He’s Wei Zhuo’s xiongzhu Like, he knows every word being spoken, but somehow the meaning is lost on him.

He’s not sure if he should be amazed a grade S male is here, or shocked the President gave him a direct briefing; he always thought the President was only an office in name.

They’ve set up the battlefield command centre on a small, barren planet that has an atmosphere but has barely developed any life.

It’s just rocks and sand everywhere.

It’s not comfortably habitable, but enough to serve as a temporary base.

He was also ordered not to let the male inside be in contact with any other insectoid outside of Wei Zhuo, because he could awaken at any moment, and it would be dangerous for the others.

The Marshal had a call with Cheng Zhaoci to confirm that everything was going smoothly, and then instructed him to have the spaceship land in their hangar area.

In general, during wartime they would all eat and drink on the spaceship itself; the ‘base’ it actually just the vessel itself, parked somewhere deemed safe enough during preliminary scans.

So Cheng Zhaoci wouldn’t be inconvenienced being unable to disembark.

The Marshal also advises him not to; while shemale soldiers are generally disciplined, the younger ones might have never seen males their entire life.

It’s not without danger.

And this is also an active war zone with pirates who would target males as well.

It’d be a catastrophe if anything were to happen to the unprotected male when the pirates come knocking.

After his spaceship has landed, Cheng Zhaoci never once exited his spaceship; the fact that this came out of nowhere and is allowed to land in the most protected central area of the makeshift base has garnered attention.

The shemale soldiers are understandably bored when not currently sent out to fight and there are no new comic updates to read.

Well, not exactly ‘bored,’ but tense to the point of snapping.

They desperately need something to distract them now that they’re both tense and with nothing to do to relieve the tension.

Like rereading comics, or sneaking glances at illicit forwarded photographs of males.

Now, they’ve a new topic du jour.

“Who’s in that spaceship, really What are they doing here” A shemale soldier is holding his food in his left hand while observing Cheng Zhaoci’s spaceship, “it can’t be some bigshot’s kid who’s here to get merits and awards off of our backs We fight, and he gets the glory”

“Not likely.

You know how much our Marshal hates ** like mooching.

Group Captain Wei is also here; who could have an even more daunting background than him” His fellow soldier is talking while still chewing.

Frankly, his face is a mess, “remember that bastard trying to mooch off of us the last war The Group Captain beat the living daylights out of him.

Is there anyone brave enough who would even dare mooch off of the Group Captain’s success What, the Chairman of Chief Command’s own son”

“Yeah, I know, but why wouldn’t they come outside either The Marshal also forbade us from going, or even walking nearby,” the first shemale soldier sounds unhappy, “what kind of insectoid is in there A male or something!”

“Who cares ab… what! Holy **! It’s Group Captain Wei! Hey bro, look!” The eating shemale soldier is elbowing his friend, “what do you think Is he fed up with the insectoids inside”

“What the ** Wouldn’t that be a problem if he… It’s clearly someone from a tough background! Can he even beat him up Wait, he’s stopped… Huh Why is he straightening his clothes”

Why would he straighten his clothes before beating up an insectoid To show respect to the one beaten up He doesn’t understand grade S shemales.

At all.

Wei Zhuo, meanwhile, has pat himself on the clothes over once, and checked everything over once more, sighing in relief when he finds not a speck of dirt.

Then he straightens his posture, and clears his throat, testing if his voice is weird, before finally walking forward once more, satisfied.

He is really nervous, and that’s without knowing his subordinates suspect him of rushing to give the insectoid in there a sound beating.

He’s afraid he might make Cheng Zhaoci uncomfortable in any way.

While he is unlikely to be wounded in battle, after every encounter he is both enveloped in a rather imposing aura and would not be allowed into any formal suit-and-tie avenue for sure.

He’s already imposing in general, but if he’s just off the battlefield, he could probably scare any little insectoid to tears for three whole days.

Even Cheng Zhaoci can attest – when back on the landfill planet, and Cheng Zhaoci was climbing out of the pile of rubble, being mistaken for an enemy by Wei Zhuo and getting a gun to his face, Wei Zhuo’s expression was truly terrifying.

But the past is in the past.

Cheng Zhaoci may know that side of him already, but Wei Zhuo still wants to appear gentle in front of Cheng Zhaoci as much as possible.

The shemale soldiers all around, though, become visibly confused.

They watch Wei Zhuo take a few deep breaths, and then walk towards the spaceship.

Confused, they start wondering.

“Am I seeing things, or is he taking small steps”

“You’re seeing things for sure.

There is nothing that can scare someone as strong as the Group Captain.”

Are there things that can scare someone as strong as Wei Zhuo Yes.

For example, when he is with Cheng Zhaoci, whatever the latter does easily sends Wei Zhuo’s brain into haywire, until he finds himself unable to specify what he’s doing or what’s going on.
