I am also a region 5 firefighter and all I can say about this movie is
it is awful. Not only does it not represent what it takes to be a
wildland firefighter but it also does makes the entire profession look
like a macho fest with no rules, guidelines or knowledge. I wonder if
this writer/director/crew did any research before doing this film.

OK, so first, I will say that I think the whole thing about it being in
an internet game is kind of lame to say the least. However, the actors
did great given such a lame conflict to work with. I've seen horror
movies a lot worse than this one, such as "American Nightmare", that I
couldn't even bring myself to get through completely without laughing
or sleep, but Devour kept my...

Set during an unspecified future era, or perhaps an "alternate
universe" present era, The Final Cut posits a world in which "first
person viewpoint" computer chip implants are possible for those who can
afford it. These record a person's entire life from a first person
viewpoint--the "camera" sees what the person sees, hears what they
hear. The intention is to have an accurate,...

Surprisingly, this was an excellent movie and certainly one that extends
beyond simply being in the action genre. The 6th Day grapples with the
ethics behind cloning and the broad spectrum of implications cloning could
have on our everyday lives. While yes, the movie near the end becomes
pretty action-oriented, it is a very smart movie overall, and it certainly
merits one's a...

If you're looking to dissuade your daughters from the fella she
adores but you think little of, have her sit through this. Ira Einhorn
was a celebrity of the peace / earth movements of the 60s and
70s. Extremely well respected, his peacenik persona cloaked a
darker side that hated women and thought very little of anything
other than himself and his personal causes. When his ...

Genres: Romance    War    Drama

Starring: Russell Crowe, Christianne Hirt, Wanda Cannon, Scott Kraft, Peter Outerbridge, ...

This film takes you to another time when there was a different
pace to everyday life. We get an idea how families had to deal
with the war and how quickly we sent young men off to fight. A
very touching look at the past and a reminder that casualties of
war don't just happen on the front.Luckily many of us have never had to go through what our
great-grandparents, grandparents o...
