I must begin this review with a nag. The way the movie began really
annoyed me to the point of interfering with my immersion from the very
get go. I will say merely this to law enforcement in the movie world:
If you are in a big black surveillance van that's been sitting outside
the target's hotel room for days, or weeks, do not attempt to follow
your target if they a...

I am a fan of both Ursula K. Le Guin's books, and Studio Ghibli's
animation. I've read all of the Earthsea books, and I've seen most of
Miyazaki's work, some of the movies dozens of times. I was putting off
watching this adaptation, having read Le Guin's review of it, but I
finally saw it and I am sorely disappointed. First of all, why are all

I have to admit having approached this movie with as much trepidation
as anticipation. After all, Mel Blanc is gone, Chuck Jones is gone, and
the hallowed Looney Tunes franchise now resides in the hands of younger
players.Think about all the things that could have gone wrong. The voices might
not be quite the same. The animation might be done on the cheap, like a
lot of modern ...

Genres: Action    Western

This film was held up for release more than once and now it's apparent why.
Dreck!!! This dressed up "B" oater is a sobering reminder of how really
well
done films used to be. Even the bad ones were better than this. While it
aspires to something profound and "hip", the overwrought and corny
dialogue,
the bombardment of cliches, and the horrid soundtrack and use of curren...

I watched this movie on Showtime when it aired for the very first time.
I really enjoyed it as it was based upon a true story. I found out in
the past year that this particular story was the main inspiration for
"The Exorcist." I now own the movie on DVD. I also found it a great
deal more scary than "The Exorcist" since it was based upon a true
story. I am really into true stor...

O.K., So it won't win any awards. But those who have seen this have got to
admit that it's a pretty good piece of work. The story is better than
passable and the action level keeps ratcheting up. Add some very low-rent
characters with dead-on casting, plus Timothy Dalton (Bond, James Bond...)
doing quite a job as a crooked country sheriff. Icing on the cake is some
top notc...

First of all, I'll let everyone know that I gave this movie (worthy of a 7)
a 10 just because the overall rating deserves to be A LOT higher than it is!
Secondly, everyone who gave this movie a bad rating needs to stop rating
movies altogether. What's not to like about this movie that is charming,
cute, innocent, and funny?? Fran Drescher may have been type-casted right
off ...

I love this film. Absolutely love it. Can't help it. I'm a child of the
40s and this movie is about when I was a kid. The sets are great, the story
is 40s, the cars, the cafe with the bizarre little gingerbread giving an
impression of a gnome's hangout, the costumes, the hero with his wiffle hair
style, the airplanes and even Howard Hughes. What more could you want? No,

Genres: Action    Adventure    Thriller

Starring: Timothy Dalton, Carey Lowell, Robert Davi, Talisa Soto, Anthony Zerbe, ...

This is the most underrated film in the series. It's ironic that the first
of the EON films not to draw its title directly from an Ian Fleming story
is also the closest in spirit to Fleming since "On Her Majesty's Secret
Service." Of course, the titles had long since become the ONLY connection
between Fleming's original stories and the movies -- the film plots and

I loved this movie when i was about seven, and I enjoy it even more on the
same childish level today. This is a movie that doesnt ask you to suspend
belief or insult your intelligence, because it is so blatantly make believe
right up front.
I truly believe that the makers of this movie set out to make an over the
top hammy piece of cinema. I dont think anyone can argue that, i...

Being a lay student of these times I was naturally interested in this
movie, and to a great extent I found it to be thoroughly enjoyable, but
what happened to the Battle of Marston Moor? Was history wrong and the
battle never fought? Cromwell was depicted as the over all commander of
the New Model Army (i.e the "Roundheads") at the battle of Naseby. He
wasn't, Sir Thomas Fa...

Rosemary Harris, the story evolves around aging King Henry II mulling over
a
successor to the Plantagenet throne among his male progeny, while bringing
