Genres: Comedy

Starring: Lisa Ann Walter, Kurtwood Smith, Mason Gamble, J.P. Manoux, John M. Watson Sr., ...

Thank you all for your comments both positive and negative. This
industry thrives on people talking about our movies. I'd just like to
address a comment from an otherwise spot-on remark from "dedmouse."
Thank you for defending me but the editing that so bothered you is
ENTIRELY my "fault." I do not believe in "the line" that most
filmmakers find it taboo to cross. I believe...

Genres: Drama    Sport

Starring: Mason Gamble, Gary Sinise, Philip Baker Hall, Dylan Baker, Henry Simmons, ...

I know. You never heard of this movie. You probably never will again.
Neither had I, and it turned out to be a complex, intelligent little sports
movie about a child golf prodigy who gets the benefit of an education about
life while he's sharpening his golf game.It impresses most of all because it is filled with surprises. Every time you
think it is going to go after a clich...
1999
Genres: Mystery    Thriller

Starring: Jeff Bridges, Tim Robbins, Joan Cusack, Hope Davis, Robert Gossett, ...

Contrary to what you may think initially, nothing happens by coincidence on
`Arlington Road.' Outstanding performances by Jeff Bridges (As Michael
Faraday) and Tim Robbins (Oliver Lang) highlight this taut thriller about
terrorism in America, a disturbing film instilled with a sense of loss, fear
and paranoia. Director Mark Pellington perhaps does not mine this vein to
the de...

Genres: Comedy    Drama

Starring: Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Olivia Williams, Seymour Cassel, Brian Cox, ...

I used to think that Royal Tenenbaums was Anderson's first good film. I
thought Bottle Rocket wore its' rookie status on it's sleeve; I thought
Rushmore was flawed; and I thought Tenenbaums finally showed that
Anderson had honed his craft and he would start making great films. I
then rewatched Tenenbaums and found it to be even more satisfying on
additional viewings...

Gattaca is a brilliant under-rated piece of cinema that the not-too-distant
future will, in retrospect, see it as one of the more outstanding movies of
the nineties. It is prolific, stylish, thought-provoking, and one of the
few recent science fiction movies that totally foregoes special effects and
does it well. There is nothing about Gattaca that I didn't like. It is a subtle pi...
1996
Genres: Comedy    Action

Starring: Leslie Nielsen, Nicollette Sheridan, Charles Durning, Marcia Gay Harden, Barry Bostwick, ...

From the same mold as the "Naked Gun" series, "Spy Hard" stars everyone's
favorite bumbling hero Leslie Nielson as a not-so-secret agent, WD-40, who
stumbles his way through another slampooning chaotic comic story. Sniping
at everything from "Speed" to "Home Alone" and built around the James Bond
flicks, "Spy Hard" features lots of babes and bunches of bit part celebs
with non...

Genres: Horror

Starring: Mariel Hemingway, Michael Paré, Mason Gamble, Ken Pogue, Hrothgar Mathews, ...

I'm the author of THOR, the novel on which Bad Moon was based. Because
Thor was told almost entirely from the dog's POV, I never expected that
anyone would try to make a movie of it, since the POV (which, to me,
was the whole point of the novel), would have to be abandoned. When Eric Red offered to buy the movie rights, however, I agreed,
knowing full well that the story mig...

Genres: Comedy    Family

Starring: Walter Matthau, Mason Gamble, Joan Plowright, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, ...

"Dennis the Menace" is unique in its own way because it's observant. This
movie made me laugh at stuff i've always laughed at and things i'd never
thought I would laugh at. The film can be surprisingly innocent at times
and sincere and heartwarming. And the kid who plays Dennis is a way better
actor than Macaulay Culkin. I liked the film for its imagination and
humor. A go...
