Andy Lau Movies

2011
Genres: Comedy    Romance

Starring: Osric Chau, Daming Chen, Li Gong, Jing Hu, Kelly Hu, ...

Andy Lau and Gong Li are two of the most attractive and charismatic
superstars of their age and it's a perfect dream match in this romance
comedy. However the film itself fails terribly and is considered
mediocre at best, putting such great cast potential to a pitiful waste.
The best reward is a visual treat of two fabulous personalities trying
to work chemistry on the big...

Genres: Action    Drama    History    War

Starring: Jet Li, Andy Lau, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Jinglei Xu, Yu Ai Lei, ...

Part martial arts movie, part historical epic, director Peter Chan's
film 'The Warlords' recreates the Taiping rebellion in China.
Unfortunately, it's a bit of a mess; both in terms of the movements in
the action scenes, and in terms of the high politics, I found it very
hard to follow who exactly was doing what to whom; but all too easy to
get the gene...

Zhang Yimou set a new benchmark for martial arts movies with Hero.
Visually both inventive and dazzling, whilst having a strong thematic
thread, it still managed to kick ass, with energetic fight sequences.
He continues in the same vein with House of Flying Daggers, with love
and romance replacing Hero's chivalry and honour. It is at times as
blisteringly exciting and exquisite...

He's short, he's pudgy and his leg shakes too much. If there's a sweet,
neurotic porker on the screen, it's got to be McDull – and what a joy
it is to see him again. If you've seen the first McDull film, then you'll be somewhat familiar

This is the second Ching Po Wong film I've watched recently, after "Mob
Sister"; I'll try my best to avoid anything he might make in the
future. The man clearly thinks that he is the best thing since sliced
bread, when in fact he lacks even elementary skills of storytelling, or
simply putting two scenes together. "Jiang Hu" plays more like a music
vi...

Infernal Affairs 3 builds cleverly on the plotline of the first movie, but
with its complex story and frequent switches between past and present, is
likely to seriously confuse anyone who comes to it without having seen
Part
1 first to understand the two main characters. For those who have, this
film brings out further details of the relationship between the two,
superbly ...

ultimate Kung Fu movie with the ultimate Kung Fu star, Jackie Chan. His

Really silly stuff, goofier than usual, but fun nonetheless. Another of
Jackie's "minor" movies, he's back in a smaller part, but he does get to
scrap a bit with Richard Norton, who showed up later in "City Hunter" and
"Mr. Nice Guy." The ending of course is really cool, and it's fun to see a
young Michell Yeoh in a tiny, tiny part.......
