Director Andrew Adamson, who helmed the first installment in the series, after making his career primarily in animation (including the original "Shrek") seems decidedly more comfortable in his role as a live action director this time around, and he handles the scope and the pacing of this epic adventure with a polished skill that is a very pleasant surprise. In addition, Georgi...

I love all kind of B movies, everything from a B-Zombie film to a B-Horror film. But this one.... It was so bad, i just want my money back. The acting was bad, and not like OK bad, it was like watching some elementary kids giving out the lines. The the "plot" was very predictable and well.. just bad. I wont spoil anything but the whole movie is filmed in a studio, behind a big,...

So, is the Hitchhikers' movie any good?Yes and no.It is great to finally see one of my favourite stories finally get the big screen treatment. There are moments where the budget has clearly benefited the overall experience, with some breath-taking CGI sequences. Two particularly spring to mind: An impressive backwards zoom out from earth's surface, past the Vogon demolition charges...

Skinned deep, this is a masterpiece of bad movie making. To most people, saying that this movie is terrible would be an instant turn off but for me that just sounds like a dare. Enough, about this movie. Its sorta like Rob Zombie's house of 1,000 corpses... well, strike that, its exactly like house of a 1,000 corpses except they had a budget of like 8$. That's slightly unfair, ...

Having read the blurb about this picture, I was expecting a knockabout English period farce at a very low budget. I was wrong. This is a nicely written, well shot (in Liverpool) period drama which transcends its meagre budget. The characters are well sketched and their working class backgrounds counterpoint the slick American peformances offered up by the likes of Al Sapienz...

I enjoyed this movie immensely. But, like "The Phantom Menace," I've had a very hard time viewing it objectively. There was so much anticipation leading up to its release, I simply enjoyed the experience of being there. Having read all four books in the series a few times each, I am overly familiar with the events in the story. As I watched the movie, my continuing thought ...

I was telling my brother the other day that this mini-series is for everyone who ever loved fairy tales when they were kids, and I'm telling the same thing to my fellow IMDb users now. The opening title sequence is one of the most beautiful things you will ever see on TV. The performances are all top-notch, especially Scott Cohen as Wolf, Ed O'Neill as Relish the Troll King and...

Leprechaun in space has all the qualities for this years Oscars... despite the fact that it did not come out this year. The leprechaun displayed so much soul in the film i forgot that he was trying to kill at all. i even cried when he blew up for the third time, never mind that they used the same footage as the first two times he blew up. Brilliance pure brilliance. Not once di...

This gets decent marks only for one reason: it's entertaining. Other than that, it has no redeeming value, is classless, has poor acting and even poorer dialog....but sure was fun to watch a couple of times. The Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) has some very funny lines and rhymes and is the undisputed star of the show. There are a lot of special effects used for both comedy and for h...

This movie is not very good, but it is not entirely bad either. It has its moments, though overall it is rather stupid. What we get here is a killer leprechaun so what does one expect? A leprechaun who constantly says "I want mi gold". Not an unreasonable request for the most part, though he does tend to go a little overboard with the killings to get what was stolen

(At least I do, every time I see it.) I first watched this movie a long time ago, and have seen it several more times over the years (it pops up on TV somewhat frequently). I have enjoyed it with each viewing, mainly because I just take it for what it is to me namely, just a fun, escapist fantasy flick that whisks you away to a magical kingdom where all kinds of mystical,

I bought the DVD, feeling that the nostalgia of watching this when I was 9 with my little sister was worth the 10 bucks. I even joked with a young couple at the check-out counter, (who remembered the movies), about how we all liked it as kids. What I didn't expect was that the movie would hold up after all these years, and mind you, I haven't seen this since the mid or late 80s.A l...
