Starring: Sticky Fingaz, Mekhi Phifer, Omar Epps, Faizon Love, Michael Rapaport, ...

A Day in the Life covers the story of a gang of new yorkers pushing
drugs and living fast. Life in the game in hard, and somethings about
to go down. The whole movie is set to a hip-hop beat, with all the
dialogue in the scenes being rapped along to the music.I viewed it without knowing any of this information, or what to expect
at all. I was not only surprised, but very impressed!...

Genres: Action    Thriller

Starring: Cuba Gooding Jr., Clarence Williams III, John Terry, Jaclyn DeSantis, Lance Reddick, ...

This is one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. Besides the
fact that it didn't make much sense, it seemed to move along terribly
slow (makes standing in line at the DMV seem fun), barely made any
connections between characters at all, and the directing and production
were really, really bad, to the point that one scene actually jumped to
another without any t...

Genres: Action    Crime    Drama    Thriller

Starring: Ben Affleck, James Frain, Dana Stubblefield, Mark Acheson, Tom Heaton, ...

I can imagine the pitch for "Reindeer Games" being thrown at the execs
behind the picture..."Okay, it's about this guy, who's not who he says he is, who everybody
thinks he is, who fools these guys who thinks he is, falls in love with
this
girl who thinks he is, even though he isn't, and they try to pull a heist
with his expertise, even though he has none."Nick (Ben Affleck) ha...

Genres: Crime    Drama    Mystery    Thriller    War

Starring: John Travolta, Madeleine Stowe, James Cromwell, Timothy Hutton, Leslie Stefanson, ...

This was an excellent drama marred only by a little too much profanity
and the normal Hollywood obsession of portraying the United States
military as corrupt. (I have a news flash for filmmakers: there are
some honest men in the military....really!!!) Feminism in the armed
forces is another "agenda" item in this film. There are many pluses, however, with this movie that should be no...

Genres: Comedy    Crime

Starring: Dave Chappelle, Guillermo Díaz, Jim Breuer, Harland Williams, Rachel True, ...

Half baked is hilarious movie to me. Its a pothead manifestation film
that doesn't take it self seriously and is pretty hilarious throughout.
Dave Chapelle is very funny in the lead and to me is a better lead
comedy actor than the likes of Martin Lawrence and even Chris Rock.
Guillermo Diaz is also very good as Scarface. Rachel True provides good
eye candy and decent performanc...

Genres: Drama    Fantasy    Music    Romance

Starring: Tim Roth, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Bill Nunn, Clarence Williams III, Mélanie Thierry, ...

It is at a time like this I wish I could expand my vocabulary to better
articulate the virtues and qualities of such a fine film. I also find I'm
bursting to talk about this film that I regrettably saw alone. I don't want
to spoil it for anyone, but desperately want to share it with everyone. The talented star of "The Legend of 1900", Tim Roth, presented this film
along with Clarenc...

Genres: Thriller    Drama

Starring: Wesley Snipes, Khandi Alexander, DeVaughn Nixon, Marquise Wilson, O.L. Duke, ...

Sugar Hill is an intense movie that exposes the harsh reality of drug
addiction and drug dealing. Roemello(Snipes) and Raynathan(Wright) are two
brothers who are drug dealers in Harlem. Snipes and Wright gave great
performances. Sugar Hill has a lot of drama and suspense and it is very
realistic. The film has al ot of great monologue, And the message is very
clear: "Don't Do Dr...
1990
Genres: Crime    Horror    Action    Thriller

Starring: Robert Davi, Claudia Christian, Michael Lerner, Bruce Campbell, Laurene Landon, ...

The first "Maniac Cop" was an enjoyable piece of trash, but this film
manages to outdo it in most departments. Its more over-the-top, more
violent, and even more entertaining. Sure, it doesn't have much of the
great Bruce Campbell, but lets not lie to ourselves - he wasn't really
given too much to do in the first film. This is an extremely mindless
and illogical film (w...

Genres: Drama    Musical    Romance

Starring: Prince, Apollonia Kotero, Morris Day, Olga Karlatos, Clarence Williams III, ...

It's no use. Arguments about the potato-chip thin script, the haphazard
direction and some of the most laughable non-acting ever photographed for
a
film, will prove ineffectual. Such conditions have existed in the realm of
film vehicles for music stars since the genre began, (with some
mind-boggling examples of the worst of the lot offered by every star from
Elvis, to Frank...
