I can't describe it but when I first saw this movie I thought it was
horrible and something Jim Carrey never should have touched. Having
seen it again recently I noticed it's actually really funny. Initial
impressions can sometimes be a foggy cloud, especially when it comes to
a comedy.

For those that didn't enjoy this movie watch it again and you'll be
surprised how funny it actually is. Same thing applies with Jim
Carrey's other "flop" known as "Cable Guy". Must be why he's doing
dramas and thrillers now, even when he made a decent comedy he got no
love. I'm guilty too Jim, we apologize buddy. Please come back when
you've forgiven us. In the meantime, it looks like your rocking out
some dramatic stuff pretty well so more power to you..

ME MYSELF AND IRENE IS ONE DAM GOOD MOVIE JIM KICKS ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!.

After the movie ended I was saying to myself "what a filthy good comedy
that was". And not a "good filthy comedy", since I don't like filthy
comedies. But sorrowfully it is one anyway!

What made me sick is the beauty of this movie's concept. The talent of
this comedy is untouchable. The schizophrenic disorder is such a
different subject to produce laughs, and there are some smart points
indeed. However they were all immersed, or just about to be, in deep
free dirtiness.

Pure filth can't be comic anytime. So when you put filthy cosmetics on
real comedy, or put real comedy in filth, both ways it will stink.

I believe we can't tell the artists the way movies have to be made.
Only our criticism towards what they already made, which represents –
in the most objective way – what could block their main idea or was bad
in delivering it.

Hence I don't know why (Carrey) had to show his penis for the ladies in
the train station. Why to "see" that dog excretes for real in Carrey's
land. Or what was the need to watch his thumb getting exploded. And
with dildo, masturbation, and vagina unstoppable jokes the whole thing
turned into a tale written over a dirty bathroom in a high school with
all the urine, excrement and blood too !

What a twisted teenagers that was made for ?! (or What a twisted
teenagers the Farrellys are ?!). But this twisted teenager sense of
nauseating fun's fans do exist. And whenever there is something with
fans, Hollywood's enthusiasm must exist as well !

I was in pain. Not because being sick to my stomach for most of the
time. But for the smart points (remember them ?!). Though, it's the
Farrelly brother's method of making movies; layer of good comedy, then
layer of dirt. You can love it, hate it, or cut out the stuff that
attracted you to have the movie you love more, like what some do in
youtube's limited 10 minutes of "parts we love from movies".

But movies can't be just "parts". It's a whole one piece of art. So
according to that Me, Myself & Irene is half comic, real smart. And
half disgusting, cheap, easy, and real turn off. Well, even some movies
can be schizophrenic too!

In a word : I can't watch it "wholly" again. However the painful thing
is that I wouldn't find the parts I loved in youtube. Filthy seemed
more needed nowadays !.
