worthwhile as a romance
I don't exactly know why it works so well...maybe just the story
itself. But all the actors get to be seen going through major emotional changes. I'm not that crazy about Robert Downy, Jr., but there's something really "juicy" and attractive about him, and there's always Mary Stuart Masterson's sweet little face to watch. This is DEFINITELY a "chick-flick"; one of the reasons being that involves a younger man with a much older woman, something not very many men can watch. Chances Are You Are Wasting Your Time
Predictable plot. Simple dialogue. Shockingly unemotional
performances. But Robert Downey, Jr. is so cute, I gave this "poor man's afternoon special" a 3 instead of the 1 or 2 it so richly deserved.. |
