It's a kids movie, what'd you expect?
This movie is aimed for kids but also wants their parents to enjoy. I have
to say it succeeds. The story line is simple, underdogs defeating the odds. However there are some good jokes that anyone can laugh at. It's cute but that's alright. Don't waste your time watching this unless you have kids.. waynecambo watch Friends With Money movie

great family comedy.
A very good clean movie for kids that adults can stomach too
This is actually a very good film considering it is for kids. It is
superbly cast, has a good funny story with a nice moral, was produced by Spielberg, directed by Star Wars editor Duwayne Dunham and best of all was shot by DP Yanusz Kaminski right after he did Schindlers List, just before he won the oscar. Yanusz freaken Kaminski man! The acting is solid. Even the hyperhormoned freakish monster "Spike" and his over the top dad come off as entertaining rather than trite. Very good directing. It bothers me when people give a film a bad review and do not consider it's target audience. This film is perfect for kids and the adults that get stuck with them will enjoy it too, which is more than you can say for 95% of most kids films. It does have the obligatory groin hits and snot jokes, but over all it is a great movie for kids .. |
