Hugh Laurie as Dr. House is my new hero. This is a terrific show with
some absolutely great writing. A little over the layman's head as far
as medical jargon, but the characters, plot and script more than make
up for any questions about a diagnosis. The show is really carried by
House, but the team of doctors who work with him add dimension and
depth to his character.
Any negative comments I've read about the show dealt with complaints
about how the television doctors don't diagnose the way the viewing
medical professionals do. May I point out to these people, this is a
television show. Please get a grip on reality and watch it for it's
pure entertainment value.
I hope this show has a good following and I'm already hoping for, and
looking forward to, more seasons..

one of the best series ever.
will greatly miss this show, what a great run.
fantastic i love house.
The series follows the life of anti-social, pain killer addict, witty and arrogant medical doctor Gregory House with only half a muscle in his right leg. He and his team of medical doctors try to cure very ill ordinary people in the United States of America..
Intelligent, Absorbing, and Penetrating Medical Drama
There is no question that Hugh Laurie is showing us but a glimmer of
the wonderful spectrum of his talents. From his earliest hilarities in
"A Bit of Fry and Laurie", "Blackadder", "Jeeves and Wooster" to this
surprisingly intelligent drama. Laurie is an actor *par excellence*.
What a range! His American accent is flawless. So is his acting. At
once he shows us a character which we love and which we hate; for which
we have compassion and for which we have no pity.
The writing is so good, it hardly leaves anything to be desired. I
never feel insulted by it's quirkiness. Nor do I feel disappointed by
its deliciously wry humor. There is no fluff or filler in these
scripts. It is all action - mental action - emotional action. We never
know where the script is going and we are always surprised at the logic
of everything that happens, everything that has been said.
To say it is great would be premature. A series has to be on the air
for a few years for this type of laudatory conclusion. Let's hope that
there lies some intelligence in the ranks of the powers that be around
We all deserve it..
