Well-paced silliness passable if you're in the mood
I was in the mood for something stupid and silly. RV filled the bill,
mostly because of Cheryl Hinds and the Goernike family (headed by
Kristen Chenowith and Jeff Daniels). The dumb singing alone moved
things along well enough. Robin Williams never believed his own
character which is hard-to-take from a film's lead. And his boss, the
film's ostensible villain, was a zero.
On the plus side are the film's pacing, the Goernike's, Cheryl Hinds,
and three strokes of brilliance by Williams amongst a lot of glib
throwaways. To its credit, RV never bogs down by taking itself too
seriously or by trying to convince the audience it has an actual plot
beyond its absurd trappings. Director Sonnenfeld has an amusing cameo

rv was great.
I haven't started watching .
Poop jokes make me laugh.
This Movie Was Absolutley Funny I Cant Tell Ya How Much Robin Williams Made Me Laugh. The Movie Is About A Dysfunctional Family Who Dont Really See Eye To Eye On A Whole Lot Of Things But The Point Of The Movie Is That Bob Munro (Robin Wiliiams) And His Family Are Looking Forward To Their Family Vacation In Hawaii,But Unfortunately For Bob When His Boss Tells Him He Must Attend A Metting In Colorado To Save His Job Or Lose It,He Decides To Find An Alternate Plan,By Getting An "RV" He Grabs His Family And Takes Them On A Road Trip With Quality Bonding Time Together And A load Of Fun Time. It Was obvious From The moment I Saw The "RV" I Started To Think This Movie Is Gonna Make Me laugh Out Loud,And It did. The Dvd Bonus Features Were Great. The Gag Reels Were just Making me Burst Out Loud With Laughter. Robin Williams Doesn't Dissapoint..
I like Robin Williams. I liked some of his lines in this movie. I
didn't like the majority of this drek. Paychecks talk and it shows in
Cheryl Hines does not do it for me and probably never will. Not for one
second did I believe that her kids were hers. They could have easily
got many different actresses to play that role and it would have made
the movie at least a little better.
Most jokes fell extremely flat and for most of the jokes to work you
have to play the "extreme idiot"(excrement hose). This movie seems to
have somewhat of a following or it wouldn't have a "high" 5.5 rating.
Wow. I guess I don't see the appeal of idiots going through the motions
for 90 minutes..
