Words cannot describe the way I feel about Bug. I'm pretty smart, but
apparently not smart enough to understand what it is about this film
that people find appealing (or some people at least). I will gladly
admit that the film is freaky, which it intends to be, but did it also
intend to be this dumb?

As a portrayal of madness, Bug feels kind of (ironically enough)
unstable. I didn't find it all that believable, and I'm not sure what
message (if any) is trying to be conveyed. Bug is clearly trying to say
something, but all I hear is nonsense. This is disappointing because,
for a while I found Bug quite interesting. The first forty to fifty
minutes provide an interesting analysis of two strange people hiding
from something (or somewhat) in this crazy mixed up universe of hours.
It is enough to get you hooked, but the last half of the film is
sloppy, appallingly acted, and overdone, and it comes with an ending
that is rushed and leaves so much unexplained.

In the end Bug feels pretty lame, and a few evocative and well directed
scenes of sheer creepiness, do not warrant a hundred minute investment
of time here..

bug big scream... 2. a bug's life great animation Bug rocked!! it is one of those films that keep changing in your mind as to where it is going to lead and always leads you somewhere unexpected. A few great cringe moments and Ashly was outstanding as the MOTHER BUG! .

Ha ha ha ha I liked it, and I'm not laughing because I thought the film
was funny, even thought I can understand how some people would laugh, I
was too considerate of how the people in the film would be feeling and
why they would be reacting the way they did, and didn't find it
laughable. The reason I'm laughing now, is because I liked it (the
film). I've read comments in the IMDb forum for Bug, and some have
written comments such as "WORST FILM EVER" and "IT'S NOT A HORROR
MOVIE". So I of course wondered if maybe they were right, and that I
too would dislike it... but I didn't hate it, I thought it was
brilliant. I can not understand how anybody could find this boring,
it's anything but boring. And I would now say it was a horror movie. I
don't know what to compare it to, yes maybe I do, while watching it, I
could see Hitchcock, the Exorcist, Twin Peaks, for whichever reason
those entered my mind a couple of times while watching. It had an old
fashioned and quite beautiful way about it..
