OK but not really funny.....

The Broken Lizard (Super Troopers) sets their sights on ribbing the the
slasher flick in their new comedy offering. Coconut Pete (Bill Paxton) is a
Jimmy Buffet wannabe who runs a resort island called Pleasure Island where
fun is mandatory. When a killer starts taking out the staff of the island
paradise (using one of Pete's songs as a template) the remaining members
must solve the mystery without alerting the guests. I have not seen Super
Troopers (2001) yet ,so I can't compare the two, but the jokes are ok but
mostly small laughs and chuckles with a lot of groaners about. The major
problem of the film, which most likely works best with friends and alcohol,
goes on way too long. The machete wielding killers' services would have
greatly helped the film to drop about ten to twenty minutes worth of tedium.
Pete's songs were the funniest part of the film and some babes (Brittany
Daniel and Jordan Ladd) are the highlights of this rather tepid comedy.

This movie was the funniest horror that I have ever seen. No other film company can make their horror movies as funny as this one. All the actors really stuck to their character and made it their own which I enjoy. Not only were they playing a character but they were adding a little bit of themselves to it as well..

Cool movie I love it it's a great movie.
love it ...classic.
Pretty freakin' good.
Steve, Kevin, and Paul came up to Colgate tonight to screen the movie at
their alma mater, so a few of us got together and went down to see the
movie. And let me tell you, it was pretty funny.
The first thing is that you cannot go into it expecting Supertroopers
This movie, although it is a comedy, is also a horror film. A new batch of
tourists come to Paradise Island for a week of fun and non-sobriety.
However, someone has started killing off the workers at the club, and the
other workers have to catch him and stop other people from knowing about
Without giving away any spoilers, I can tell you this: it was great.
Lizard has somehow made a movie that's insanely funny, and also a bit of a
horror flick. The girls across the row from us kept freaking out between
laughs, so I guess that was the intended effect. Bill Paxton was great,
was a damn believable island hippie. (Think Sammy Hagar right now, and his
fun in Cabo San Lucas.) Steve Lemme seems to have a place in the Broken
Lizard movies, and he was awesome this time. Kevin Heffernan is the
centerpoint of this film, and he held the role really well. Of course,
Erik and Jay had did a good job, too.
Anyway, it's probably worth your cash. If you're a Broken Lizard fan, go
the movie. If you want to laugh but with a little horror, go see it. And
keep an eye on these guys - they're gonna be big..
