No Crackers Gromit, We've Forgotten the Crackers
A truly excellent adventure featuring Wallace and Gromit. I know I may
be in a minority here, but I think 'A Grand Day Out' was Wallace and Gromit at there very best. Wallace and Gromit are looking through brochures on where to go on holiday. Wallace wants some cheese, but to his horror there is none. So that gets him thinking, why not go to the moon, after all, the moon is made of cheese. He builds a rocket and blast off is ready. But then with one minute to go, he realises he has forgotten the crackers, so he runs into the house, gets the crackers and gets back into the rocket just in time for blast-off. On the moon, Wallace and Gromit tuck in to the cheese. On the moon is a robot type creature. He steals a magazine from Wallace and Gromit about skiing. This gets him thinking, he wants to ski. So he tries to get on Wallace's rocket to get back to earth and get skiing, meaning an emergency take-off for Wallace and Gromit. Oh well, the robot changes the room into a massive skiing place. What an adventure that will surely rank as one of television's greatest twenty minutes. It's just so nice and so uniquely northern, references to things like Lancashire Hotpot are moments to be treasured. Nick Park's hard-work is shown in this adventure and you can see the great output he put in to Wallace & Gromit. Also, fantastically voiced by Peter Sallis, of 'Last of the Summer Wine' fame playing Norman Clegg, who has a wonderful voice. So after this would come two more cracking adventures, 'The Wrong Trousers' and 'A Close Shave' both great, but not as good as this, then of course in 2005 a feature-length film 'The Were Rabbit' came out and despite being again quite excellent, failed to match the quality of the TV shows as a lot of the graphics were done on computer and just didn't look as uniquely plastacinic (sorry if that's not a word) as the TV shows did. But it is back again, to the old way of plasticine, this Christmas in 'A Matter of Loaf and Death' Another twenty-minute adventure for the BBC. Something tells me it's going to be an extra special Christmas this year.. carmensmc1 watch Cleopatra movie

jack very good movie for cildren and up very well made good for all ages.
Very funny
Together with 'Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave' and 'Wallace & Gromit: The
Wrong Trousers' this is one of the funniest things I have seen. The clay animation looks great, the stories are very ingenious and the jokes are great. If you get a chance to see this, please do it. You will have a great time. I have to say that both 'A Close Shave' and 'The Wrong Trousers' are better than this one, but you will still have a great time watching this one.. |
