good for fans, but wasted money and efforts for the rest
I've just watched the movie and I can't say that I like it. But I can't
say that I regret buying that disk. I (dis)liked the movie because 1) there was Orlando Bloom in it and he did his job well enough to enjoy 2) Naomi Watts has acted great and 3) the only thing about both of them is they have too small parts in the movie in comparison to their talent 4) they had these beards - that was odd 5) the movie is similar to American outlaws if talking about the plot 6) their fights sometimes looked too faked 7) in general I wanted more Orlando and more light (hate dark movies, this one is neither very dark, nor bright) 8) this is not classic Hollywood film, but not the festival styled either. In the end the summary is - if you have free 109 minutes and are older than 16 and like Orlando Bloom's, or Heath Ledger's acting, then watch it. But remember the director (Gregor Jordan) surely wanted nobody to make the movie but himself, so you won't see much of anything, but the director's breath on everything.. suki26 watch Rosemary's Baby movie

Ned Kelly
I guess I was attracted to this film both because of the sound of the
story and the leading actor, so I gave it a chance, from director Gregor Jordan (Buffalo Soldiers). Basically Ned Kelly (Heath Ledger) is set up by the police, especially Superintendent Francis Hare (Geoffrey Rush), he is forced to go on the run forming a gang and go against them to clear his own and his family's names. That's really all I can say about the story, as I wasn't paying the fullest attention to be honest. Also starring Orlando Bloom as Joseph Byrne, Naomi Watts as Julia Cook, Laurence Kinlan as Dan Kelly, Philip Barantini as Steve Hart, Joel Edgerton as Aaron Sherritt, Kiri Paramore as Constable Fitzpatrick, Kerry Condon as Kate Kelly, Emily Browning as Grace Kelly and Rachel Griffiths as Susan Scott. Ledger makes a pretty good performance, for what it's worth, and the film does have it's eye-catching moments, particularly with a gun battle towards the end, but I can't say I enjoyed it as I didn't look at it all.
