This was an excellent movie! It's about a firefighter named Jack
Morrison played by Joaqin Phoenix. He is in a burning building in the
beginning of the movie. I liked the flashback scenes in this movie.
They were well-written and well-scripted! His boss, played by John
Travolta, comes to the scene only a few minutes later. I like Jacinda
Barretts character named Linda. There's chemistry between Jack and
Linda. I like the way that they show how he was on the firefighters for
his career. This movie keeps you glued to it from beginning to end!
This is a one-of-a kind movie! I thought the ending wasn't quite what
you expected out of an "action/drama" movie..

The cast for this film were great. The film was based on the memories
of a fire fighter during a dangerous mission. The movie has action,
romance, family life and the comradery of the character and his
personal relationship with the chief (john travola). They made fire
fighters look brave and probably had something to do with 9/11. It
showed how one needs to relieve stress due to the demanding job.
Travola sure can act. I am glad he finally picked a good role. He seems
to have difficulties in that category.

The movie is a downer with the sad ending. The directing of the movie
from present to past was done quite well and realistic. The only thing
I did not like was that they showed some of the best scenes in the
trailer. Joaquin Phoenix is a versatile actor and did an excellent
role. 7/10.
