Interesting,but a very long 91 minutes

Instead*Avoid At All Costs Pilgrim is an intriguing, well plotted little thriller,a lot in the vein of the similar but superior recent Guy Pearce hit Memento. The plot has been intricately disected, and cleverly maps itself out along the way.Ray Liotta has always been an undervalued actor in receipt of scripts that perhaps don't suit his acting limits, and this small film quietly conveys them in a none enforcing manner. However, the film does feel kind of stretched out.It seems long for 91 minutes, but luckily, for all it was aiming to be,this is the only target it misfires on.***. Pilgrim grips you from the beginning!
"Pilgrim" is an excellent film that stars Ray Liotta and packs both
great mystery with action. The film grips you from the beginning when you see Ray's character in a phone booth and you see he is about to be attacked by a speeding car. Suddenly Ray's character wakes up in the middle of the desert. He is bloody and bruised, and he does not remember who he is or how he got there. Slowly, with the help of a woman named Vicky (played by Gloria Reuben), Ray's character realizes who he really is, and the sinister truth of his past, a past he once tried to run away from. I thought that the film was very thrilling and my eyes were glued to the screen the whole time. Ray does a wonderful job as the mysterious Jack Kelly- a man who's past he once fled. The movie also has a great soundtrack and is visually very stunning. I recommend Pilgrim a lot.. |
